With 30+ years of riding experience on the A circuit and a master’s degree in teaching and instruction, Tasha Plunket is able to bring a high level of training to both the horse and rider who are looking to succeed at the premier level of competition.

As a junior and amateur, Tasha qualified for the Pennsylvania National Horse Show, Washington International Horse Show, and the Devon Horse Show numerous times in the pony division, the large junior hunter division, and the amateur-owner division.  In 2002, Tasha ribboned at the Capital Challenge Horse Show and the Pennsylvania National Horse Show with her mare, Chances Are.

After graduating college, Tasha spent 10 years in the traditional classroom teaching English to 7th and 9th graders before shifting her love for education to the equestrian sport.  Her background in education enhances her ability to create fun and effective riding lessons that are differentiated for each horse and rider.

While teaching, Tasha continued to compete successfully on the A circuit.  During this time, she gained experience in the jumper divisions and in 2012 she was named the top adult amateur National Hunter Derby rider.  To date, she has placed in more than 16 National Hunter Derbies.

In addition, Tasha currently holds her USEF "r" judging license.
